While some western media did their homework and produced investigative reports that provided real insight into the crisis (in 2001, the Wall Street Journal won a Pulitzer Prize exposing the violent campaign against Falun Gong practitioners and the Washington Post followed with their own ground-breaking coverage), for the most part, news coverage of Falun Gong has been very sparse, and in some cases, framed by the Chinese regime’s relentless drum of propaganda.
