Worldwide Activism

Exposure of the crimes against Falun Gong in China have been paramount to the peaceful resistance of practitioners overseas.

The nature and scope of this gruesome persecution is relatively underexposed. Therefore, support for those being persecuted is of utmost importance. Medical experts from many countries have opposed and protested against the harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners in China. People’s representatives and human rights organisations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have also spoken out against this persecution.

Also inside China, developments are visible. Millions of Chinese have quit the Party and turned away from the CCP (Tuidang movement). Chinese have held petitions to free fellow villagers who practise Falun Gong. Lawyers have defended Falun Gong practitioners in court and many Chinese citizens have filed lawsuits against Jiang Zemin.

To raise awareness about the scope of the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners worldwide have organised many activities and protests. They have contributed to breaking the Internet blockades in China to counteract the propaganda of the Chinese regime and reduce the persecution. They have established uncensored media, made phone calls to China, reached Chinese through satellite TV, taken part in parades, organised information stands, petitions and art exhibitions. They also have produced the award-winning movies Hard to BelieveFree China, and Transcending Fear.
